Vehicle Fleet Manager 5.0 allows efficient management of your preventive maintenance and monitoring of maintenance activities carried out on your equipment.

Service reminders are used to schedule reminders for recurring service tasks. Service reminders can be individually created or created bulk in an efficient and easy way via the service programs. If you are located in the United States or Canada, it is also possible to decode the maintenance programs recommended by the manufacturers of your vehicles automatically using an API.

Service reminders are initialized automatically when the corresponding service tasks are completed trough a service entry or a work order.

Important definitions

A Service Reminder is an alert for a single recurring service task. This reminder can be based on a recurring time interval, odometer, or a combination of both.
A Service Schedule is a group of service tasks sharing the same recurring interval of time and/or odometer. Service schedules are created at the same time as the service programs.

A Service Program is a group of service schedules. Once a service program has been created, you can apply it to any of your vehicles, at any time. When you apply a service program to a vehicle, the service reminders contained in the service program are automatically added to the vehicle.

	When you modify a service program, the service reminders previously created via this service program are not automatically modified. If existing service reminders need to be edited, you will have to do so manually or recreate them.

There are three ways to create service reminders:

Create service programs you can apply to your vehicles.
Applying a service program to one or more vehicles will create the service reminders contained in the service program and assign them to each vehicle.
This approach is useful when your fleet includes several similar vehicles with similar maintenance needs.
Create service reminders individually.
This approach is useful when your vehicles have unique maintenance needs.
Import service reminders automatically from an API.
If you are located in North America, this approach allows you to automatically retrieve the service programs recommended by the manufacturer of your vehicles via an API and create the corresponding service reminders.
